Ideal for snowbirds heading North or for the family taking a summer vacation. The High Temp alert can alert your neighbors of a failure of your AC unit and prevent unwanted mold and mildew build up. Allowing the interior temperature to soar to summer levels while you're gone for extended periods is not be advisable. Plants and some expensive electronics could be damaged by prolonged heat exposure. Also, if you have a refrigerator or freezer with perishables inside, the unit will consume more energy running in a hot house.

The advantage is this high temperature warning light is powered with 2 D-cell batteries and does not require 120V house power. A utility failure will not effect High Temp Alert's operation. There is no power drain on the batteries until the unit is flashing and it can flash up to 400 hours continuously. Batteries should be removed when not in use and new D-cell Alakine batteries installed at the beginning of the Summer season.

The High Temp Alert - Temperature Warning Signal has an adjustable thermostat settings from 50F to 110F with a 4 foot cord. This enables the thermostat to be used in the housing or to be positioned out of direct sunlight or drafts that may not indicate true room temperatures. The thermostat acts as a test switch as well as setting for the temperature for the warning light. It has 360 degree visibility.
